At UEA we are committed to creating a safe and respectful environment for every member of our community. Tackling harassment and sexual misconduct is a priority, and we are taking active steps to ensure students feel supported, heard, and protected.

To demonstrate the progress we’ve made, we’ve created a timeline highlighting key actions taken across the institution. This is updated regularly to reflect new developments and show how we’re working to build a safer, more inclusive university culture.

Tackling Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Timeline

As part of this commitment, we have published our first annual report analysing student disclosures of harassment and sexual misconduct submitted through the Report + Support platform. This report marks a significant step in strengthening transparency and accountability in how we respond to these issues.

By sharing this data, we aim to:

  • Provide reassurance that concerns are taken seriously and inform real action
  • Build trust in our reporting processes
  • Support the development of more effective, informed prevention and response work

The report forms part of our wider strategy to address unacceptable behaviours, improve support systems, and drive cultural change across the university.
